If you want to do something in the memory of Daniel
Please Donate Blood

We are proud to announce that because of the generous donations and all the people that attended the Premiere of " Sketches for Roam"  on February 15th, 2009 Daniel raised 9,830 dollars to donate to The Krall / BMT Center at Vancouver General Hospital; a place where Daniel received his much needed blood transfusions.

The September 24th, 2009 screening of "Sketches for Roam" raised over 3,300 dollars towards Daniel's dream of making a full length film from the sketches

Proceeds of the September 24th, 2009 screening made it possible for Daniel's main editor AJ Bond to make many needed technical upgrades to Daniel's film in May 2010.

Daniel's Family continues to work towards developing "Sketches for Roam" into the larger film Daniel dreamed of.

We Welcome your interest and support!

Daniel's survival and quality of life during his struggle were dependant on blood and platelet transfusions. He was always in constant awe of the amazing gift he was receiving during every transfusion. He was in the deepest state of gratitude to blood donors.

Crossing 10 years, 4 continents, 2 subcontinents and a thousand Islands…

This is a story about a young, tragic romantic nomad, who moonlights as an existential detective documentary filmmaker, investigating the nature of space, time and the universe… and then eventually his own case.

In a shocking, much foreshadowed plot twist, holding his life in the balance; at 28 he is given 6 months to live.

He begins to realize he was not only living, but also narrating the story, and erasing himself from it.

At which point he asked his tragic romantic heart, “If I am living my perfect film, what kind of ending did I expect.”

Suddenly in a race against time, he is madly trying to unlock his secret mind and write himself a twist-middle, rather than an ending; surrendering to life, love, faith, and the creative process.

But here’s the real twist, which you might have gathered…  It’s a documentary; I am narrating it; Medical Science has diagnosed me with Terminal AML Leukemia…and my name is Dan Northcott.

(Daniel Northcott lost his unusual and courageous battle to Leukemia June 22nd, 2009. We truly appreciate your continued support in making his life long dream ,of spreading his message through his film, come true)
